Alice Dixson Finally Breaks Her Silence About the 'Taong Ahas' Urban Legend



Urban legends are classic conversation topics among us Pinoys. Whether it is about Indians using babies as an ingredient for making bread or a celebrity being forced to marry a rich businessman's man-slash-snake, urban legends tickle our imagination.

Alice Dixson has become famous not only for her acting but also becoming the subject of an urban legend which even involves multi-billionaire businessman John Gokongwei and a "taong ahas."


According to the urban legend, Alice Dixson was shopping in Robinson's Galleria in Ortigas when someone fell in love with her at first sight.





She was then kidnapped and was asked to marry this "taong-ahas" who has been living in the bowels of the mall for years. It is said that this "taong-ahas" is the identical twin of Gokongwei.

Dixson was said to be locked in the dungeon. Since it would destroy the reputation of Gokongwei and the mall, the urban legend said that Gokongwei paid Dixson to remain silent.


Now, Dixson shed some light on the legend that has been attached to her name for years.


In Regine Velasquez's show called Sarap Diva, Dixson was asked about the urban legend.

Her answer? No, it's not true.


"Supposedly, pero 'di 'yan totoo!" she said.
