Duterte as the 'World's Best President'

THOUGH it is still yet to be confirmed, news has been spreading rapidly in the social media that President Rodrigo Duterte was recognized as "World’s Best President." In a report, it is said that the Philippine President has been given such recognition by the United Nations Economic & Social Council during their first annual review which was published on August 8, 2016. The award is based on the Political, Economic and Social indexes of the country.

A Technical Committee made up of experts from reputable International Civil Service Organisations and Think Tanks adjudged Duterte as the best President during the period under review. The President assumed office only since June 2016 and is eyed to be the next UN Secretary General.

 With this recognition, critics flourished and questioned the credibility of the results as Philippine has been drawn into a lot of controversies since under his administration. However, the Malacanang has still to confirm this milestone.
